The Mojave Desert is gorgeous in April, but it is still a desert! Dress for comfort, and come prepared for the weather.
If you’d like to stay for a hike after the ceremony, yoga pants or well-kept exercise clothing are appropriate; for others, jeans and a nice top are great!
For the reception, get fancy! Skip the tux, but flashy suits, dresses, and outfits otherwise appropriate for a cocktail party are perfect.
RSVPs by text message are currently closed. If something has come up and you need to change your RSVP, please contact Matt or Lizzy directly.
The wedding ceremony will be hosted at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada—just about an hour outside of Las Vegas. 🏜
Later in the evening, a reception will be held at Nobu restaurant, inside the Caesars Palace hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. A bus will be provided to shuttle people between the two events.
The ceremony begins at 11 AM on April 2nd, but buses will depart from Caesars Palace around 9:30 AM (sorry!); the return trip should leave Valley of Fire around 12:15 PM, and we expect you to be back at Caesars before 1:30 PM. The reception is later that evening, and there’s a brunch the morning after.
Our reception is at Nobu restaurant, an award-winning Japanese fine-dining restaurant located conveniently inside the Caesars Palace hotel. A cocktail hour (including non-alcoholic options) begins at 6 PM on April 2nd; a multi-course dinner will follow. 🍣 Stay as long as you like, then head upstairs to your room when you’re done!
The morning after the wedding, we will have a drop-in brunch at Yardbird, a southern restaurant located inside the Venetian that specializes in their famous 27-hour-brined fried chicken and decadent pastries. Come when you like, leave when you’re full!
Our wedding ceremony is located in a state park in the middle of the desert, so we highly recommend you dress for comfort and come prepared for the weather. If you choose to stay for a hike after the ceremony, yoga pants or well-kept exercise clothing (for instance) are appropriate; for others, jeans and a nice top are great.
For the reception, get fancy! Tuxedos and ballgowns are overkill, but flashy suits, skirts, and dresses appropriate for a cocktail party are perfect. 👗🎩
We will book all of the rooms as a group, then text you your confirmation number when it’s available—there’s nothing for you to do! More information is available on our dedicated page about hotel policies and procedures.
Guests will be staying in Las Vegas for the wedding—the ceremony is about an hour outside of town, and the reception and other events are right off the Strip! Most airlines offer non-stop service to LAS from major cities. We recommend Delta, and Southwest is another great option (they’re often quite affordable, especially from the west coast).
We ask that guests plan to arrive any time on Friday, April 1st, 2022. When departing, if possible, we recommend a flight that departs after 2 PM on Sunday to allow you ample time to join for our brunch.
It depends! If you’re staying at Caesars Palace, and not planning on hiking after the ceremony, you can take the bus we’re providing back and forth to the Valley of Fire. If you’d like to stay and hike, or you’re staying at another hotel, then you’ll need to plan on renting a car or carpooling with someone else.
You should also feel free to rent a car if you plan on exploring the area! The desert surrounding the city of Las Vegas is gorgeous and accessible. Note that rental cars should be reserved in advance, as there is still a nationwide rental car shortage.
Joining us for our wedding is the best present you could possibly give us! ❤️ In lieu of gifts, we ask that you save your money and use it to have a great time while in Las Vegas! If you would still like to do something, consider purchasing carbon offsets for your flight, or make a donation to one of these causes:
Due to capacity restrictions at the park, we will unfortunately have to limit attendance for the ceremony to grown-up invitees only. That being said, if you think your kids would enjoy the food and relatively upscale environment at Nobu, they are welcome to join for the reception! Get in touch with us directly to make sure we get them on the list.
We have a comprehensive page detailing our COVID-19 gameplan that we update regularly as new information becomes available. As always, you can reach out to Matt or Lizzy directly if you have specific questions or concerns.
If you’re looking for fun things to do or great food to eat in Las Vegas, we’ve put together a guide just for you! 🎰 Check out our list of “Things to Do & Eat in Las Vegas”.
Lots of the nitty-gritty details will be sent via text message in the days leading up to the wedding weekend! If you have additional questions, you can try texting the text bot, or contact Matt or Lizzy directly for assistance.
